Our story
Who we are
Galeano Coffee is formed by a family that has been in the coffee industry for generations. With the love of coffee and desire to ensure a fair wage for small producers in the vast coffee industry, Galeano Coffee has dove deeper into the production process from the farm to the cup.
Growing up in Honduras, founders Francisco and Daniel Galeano had their very first memories on their grandfather's coffee farm. It was then that their love for coffee formed—not just the drink, but the culture surrounding it. In 2014, they opened one of Honduras' first specialty coffee shops with their family, who now owns their own coffee farm that helps supply their cafés with beans year round, along with other farms from partnerships they've made with the top coffee producers in Honduras.
Our Coffee Origin
We have sourced our selection of coffee beans from the heart of Central America. Despite its small geographical size, Honduras has been recognized world-wide as among the top coffee producing countries, ranking 6th place. Although late to the coffee game, in recent years there has been an increased demand for beans from this beautiful, Central American country.
The majority of coffee grown in Honduras comes from small, mountain-farms or micro-lots. Each farm has its own distinct micro-climate, which allows for diverse coffee profiles to emerge. With the perfect climate to cultivate a wide variety of coffee plants, the flavor possibilities are endless.
Coffee Tour
We value not only the end product, but the odyssey each bean takes from the origin to your home. We offer our customers the opportunity to make a tour that will allow you to experience all that goes into growing, tending, harvesting, processing, roasting, and ultimately preparing a cup of coffee: the life cycle from cherry to cup; an experience that will change the way you view your next cup of coffee.
